Chevrolet Blazer Specs

This car review will present you one of the most successful Chevy models on the market – the Chevrolet Blazer, which has reigned over the markets for over five decades. It was first brought out in the world in 1969, under the name “K5 Blazer” and was a two-door smaller version of Chevy’s traditional big trucks. Currently, most of the original K5 Blazers reside in collections, and there are rarely any available for purchase, as they were a limited edition of the model. After the K5 model and up until 1994 the Chevy Blazer was in continuous production, and following 1994, the model was reintroduced as the Chevy Tahoe.

Around 1980 Chevy also released a model called “S-10 Blazer”, which can still be found in some used cars dealerships. The Chevy Blazer model was actually one of the first in the small-SUV segment; however, it needed improvements like a better engine and a four-door version. In 1995 Chevy released a revamped second version of the model, which had a much better power output and a more stylish exterior and interior design. Despite these improvements, there were problems with the driving dynamics and the comfort, and the Chevy Blazer price was not on the low end, which led to the not so successful sales statistics for the model.

Nemer Chevrolet Blazers

Chevy released a second generation of the Chevy Blazer, which was in production from 1995 to 2005. The car was visibly bigger than the first generation one, but still not bigger than its competitors in the segment – the Jeep Grand Cherokee and the Ford Explorer. The Chevy Blazer again came in a two-door and a four-door version; however, the latter was discontinued in 2004. The car was equipped with a 4.3-liter V6 engine, which brought out 190 HP, and a 250-pound-feet torque. A four-speed automatic gearbox or a five-speed manual gearbox available for the two-door models supported the engine power. Chevy also provided the option to choose between a rear-wheel drive (2WD), and a four-wheel drive.

Development of the concept over time

SUV fans all over the world are very excited because Chevrolet announced the 2020 Blazer. The manufacturer has introduced tremendous changes to the exterior and interior design of the car, and there are rumors of an improved engine as well. The cabin of the car will be more spacious and more comfortable for the passengers, while the exterior of the car will have a fresh modern new look. All of these improvements are focused on providing a better driving experience. There is a prediction that the 2020 Chevrolet Blazer will be equipped with a Vortec 6.0-liter V8 engine with an output of 345 HP.

The Chevy Blazer is a legendary car, with a long history and a very bright future. While there still is not an official release date for the 2020 Blazer, the excitement from all the models’ fans is understandable as the Blazer is a classic model with a lot of historic value.  Be sure that we will provide a substantial car review for the new model as well!
